Precautionary Measures of COVID-19

Health and safety of guests and staff are always our first priority. In view of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we have conducted a number of precautionary measures in hotel and restaurants to minimize the spread of infectious diseases, and strive for creating a safe and wonderful stay and dining experience for all guests.

Hotel

  • The Cityview has complied with the requirement of Anti-Epidemic Hygiene Measures Certification Scheme, which is certified by Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency. This certification scheme aims to confirm our responsibilities and recognize our efforts towards the implementation of hygiene measures.   • According to the Government's latest anti-epidemic measures, all guests are required to use the "LeaveHomeSafe" mobile application to scan the "LeaveHomeSafe" venue QR code, and either showing "Blue Code" or "Amber Code" at "Vaccine Pass" before they enter The Cityview. For categories of persons below who are unable to meet the requirement, they have to fill in a specified form as an alternative.

    1. aged 15 or below and not accompanied by an adult or aged 65 or above;
    2. persons with disability; or
    3. other persons recognised by the Government or organisation(s) authorised by the Government.

    Please note that hotel guests are not required to hold the “Vaccine Pass” in order to check in. However, guests are still required to carry the "Vaccine Pass" in order to enter our restaurants and function rooms.
  • To ensure the safety of our staff and guests, we do not accept any guest who:
    • Diagnosed with COVID-19. In case the guest is tested positive on COVID-19 during the stay, HK$1,000 sanitisation fee on guest room will be imposed.
    • Under the HK Government’s compulsory quarantine order or home quarantine order, the close contacts of COVID-19 case and the close contacts of close contacts (second layer) of COVID-19 case
    • Undergo medical surveillance (amber code)* (maid service will not be entitled during the stay period)
    • Conduct COVID-19 testing within 3 days before check-in with no negative test result shown*
    • Received "Pink QR code" under the Return2hk and Come2hk Scheme of HKSAR*
    • Have symptoms of COVID-19 (such as fever)
    • *Guests can check in as usual if they are able to provide a negative result of Rapid Antigen Test within 24 hours before check in
  • Guest rooms are subject to restrictions on group gatherings. All visitors** are required to register at our Front Desk before entering the guest room.
    ** For security reason, all visitors are not allowed to stay overnight from 11pm to 6am.
  • Conduct a brief check on the guests’ travel history in the past 14 days and ask them to fill in health declaration form.
  • Conduct measurement on body temperature for all staffs and arrival guests every day.
  • All frontline staffs are requested to wear surgical mask when serving guests.
  • Lobby washroom can only be used by hotel guests and are disinfected regularly.
  • Public areas such as traffic pathways, lobby, lifts and elevator control panels etc are disinfected and rinsed with 1 in 49 diluted household bleach regularly. Alcohol-based handrub is provided for guests’ usage in public areas.

Restaurants

  • According to the HKSAR Government’s latest update on Prevention and Control Disease Regulation, our restaurants implement the following extra precautionary measures from now until further notice. Please visit our restaurant page (City Cafe, The Balcony, Amazing) for the latest operating hours and service arrangement.
    • According to the Government's latest anti-epidemic measures, all guests are required to use the "LeaveHomeSafe" mobile application to scan the "LeaveHomeSafe" venue QR code and present the “Vaccine Pass” that complies with the specified vaccination requirements*, or showing “Blue Code” at "LeaveHomeSafe" mobile application under “Vaccine Pass” before entering The Cityview’s restaurants.
      * Aged 5 to 11 - Having received two doses of vaccine, or within three months after having received the first dose of vaccine
      Age 12 or above - Having received three doses of vaccine, or within five months after having received the second dose of vaccine

      For categories of persons below who are unable to use “LeaveHomeSafe” mobile application, they have to fill in a specified form as an alternative.
      1. aged 15 or below and not accompanied by an adult or aged 65 or above
      2. persons with disability; or
      3. other persons recognised by the Government or organisation(s) authorised by the Government.
    • All customers are required to wear mask within the restaurant except the time during consuming food or drinks
    • No more than 12 persons to be seated at one table. For more than 12 people dine together (dine at separate tables also apply), guests have to present the proof of a negative rapid antigen test (RAT) taken within 24 hours. The relevant guest shall mark on the RAT testing kit his/her name as well as the date and time of taking the test. He/she shall take a photo of the testing kit and save it in his/her mobile phone for checking by the operators before entering the premises. Guests can also possess a SMS notification containing the negative result of a PCR test which was issued within the 48 hours preceding his/her entry into the catering premises as an alternative.
    • Keep a distance of 1.5 metres between dining tables or some form of partition
  • Conduct measurement on body temperature for restaurant guests before seated.
  • Provide alcohol-based hand sanitizer for guests’ usage before entering the restaurant.
  • Prepare plastic bags for disposal of used mask from guests to maintain hygiene at restaurants.
  • Staffs are requested to check body temperature before report duty every day, and also required to wear surgical masks and gloves before handling food and serving guests.
  • All food and drinks must be covered properly.
  • Dining tables and chairs are sanitized with designated disinfectant immediately after each meal.
  • Restaurant washrooms can only be used by restaurant guests and are disinfected regularly.

Banquet

  • Under the latest update on regulation from the HKSAR Government, all guests are required to use the "LeaveHomeSafe" mobile application to scan the "LeaveHomeSafe" venue QR code and present the “Vaccine Pass” that complies with the specified vaccination requirements*, or showing “Blue Code” at "LeaveHomeSafe" mobile application under “Vaccine Pass” before entering our function rooms. For categories of persons (same with the catering premises) who are unable to use “LeaveHomeSafe” mobile application, they have to fill in a specified form as an alternative.

    * Aged 5 to 11 - Having received two doses of vaccine, or within three months after having received the first dose of vaccine
    Age 12 or above - Having received three doses of vaccine, or within five months after having received the second dose of vaccine
